The LS VAJRA SUV LX is more than just a one-piece version. How can the pinnacle design philosophy of a forged three-piece wheel be incorporated into a one-piece cast wheel? This is a masterpiece that has been meticulously calculated down to the smallest detail.

The Essence of Design: It's Not "Slip-In" But "Reconstruction"

The starting point for development was to reconstruct the design of the existing three-piece "VAJRA SUV" model into a one-piece cast model.

The basic concept was to transform the VAJRA design into a one-piece model. However, simply transferring it as is would not capture the true appeal of the VAJRA. We needed to deeply understand the characteristics of the casting process and optimize the design.

Casting is a manufacturing method in which molten metal is poured into a mold. While this offers great design freedom, factors such as wall thickness to maintain strength and the slight "draft" angle used to remove the product from the mold can often detract from the sharpness of the design.

Aesthetics in the Details: A Design Concept for Combining Sharpness and Power

The development team's primary focus was on minimizing the visual impact of this draft angle while ensuring strength and highlighting the unique aesthetic of the VAJRA.

The tops of the spokes are designed to be thin, and care has been taken to avoid the heavy feeling that is typical of casting due to the draft angle, making the spokes appear even sharper.

Additionally, the connection point between the spokes one level further back and the main spokes on the top level has been moved more towards the center than on the three-piece model, ensuring that the spokes one level back do not appear too short or thick.

This balance of spoke length and thinness gives an SUV's feet a sporty yet elegant feel. This is the result of a thorough pursuit of optimal beauty as a single piece, rather than simply imitating a design.

A striking color strategy and unwavering quality

This one-piece model is primarily targeted at premium SUVs like the Lexus LX/GX and Land Cruiser. Therefore, the color options are centered around a luxurious, glossy finish.

When considering the target vehicle owners, we determined that an urban, glossy color was more desirable than an off-road-style matte color. This GTK (Grimmit Black) finish, in particular, combines luxury and toughness with its powerful shine within the black.

All of these models are made in Japan, a trusted country. They are manufactured at Work's domestic factories, which are known for their strict quality standards. They are also designed to withstand corrosion caused by snow-melting agents, making them highly durable and safe for use in snowy regions.

A new option, inheriting the pinnacle of the brand's legacy

The LS VAJRA SUV LX strongly inherits the design DNA of the flagship three-piece forged wheel, while also incorporating the unique appeal of a one-piece wheel.
